Inky the Octopus was one of the earliest Beanie Baby sea creatures. Released in 1994, Inky came in two color variants—grey and pink. The grey version was produced first and is considered rarer. Featuring a simple, flat body and stitched smile, Inky became a standout aquatic plush. Early tag versions, especially 1st or 2nd generation with color-specific tags, are most valuable. The pink version is more common but still beloved for its unique shape.
