Peanut the Elephant was first introduced in June 1995 in a dark, royal blue colorway. Like many fellow Beanies before her, the royal blue Peanut was retired a few short months into her run and replaced with a differently colored Peanut. The generally accepted theory is that the royal blue color was a mistake that was quickly corrected. Due to her short production time, royal blue Peanut is highly prized.
