Princess the Bear was released in 1997 as a tribute to Princess Diana, making her one of the most iconic Beanie Babies ever produced. Her elegance, purpose, and limited initial availability make her legendary among collectors. She features a rich purple body, a white rose embroidered on her chest, and was released with the proceeds going to the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund.
Multiple versions exist – early editions made in Indonesia, with PVC pellets and a “no space” error is the winning combination for collector value. The no space error is a missing line space between “All profits of Ty from this collectible will be donated to the” and “DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES MEMORIAL FUND”.
